In the film Courageous, we follow four police officers who endure life-changing events, not only through their jobs, but in their family lives as well. Through a tragic accident, a father of two children comes to see the hard truth that he hasn’t been living up to the standards of a father or husband. Through help of his pastor, wife and friends, he creates a “resolution” for himself to follow, a covenant that he will be the best father, husband and friend by becoming the man God made him to be. Using all the scripture given about a man’s role in his family, these four men sign this resolution together and each are faced with challenges shortly thereafter. While some passed this test of faith, not all of them do. It’s a fantastic story, full of lessons of God’s grace and healing. It’s also a good example of trust in God and integrity in one’s self. It opens a needed dialogue addressing the struggle these men have with both strength and tenderness. It shows doing right thing will usually be the hardest thing, but it is still always the best choice. This is an amazing message for adults and teens, and contains no foul language, but due to the occupation of the men, some of the scenes do include drugs, violence and gangs. It is not recommended for small children, but highly rewarding to older children and parents alike.
This Film is great for a Theater Type Setting and is DIGITAL, BLU-RAY and DVD Collection Worthy.
